Yesterday was a pretty good day. Had school in the morning, busy busy day in the evening, and then we went to Pluckers afterwards. Good to see friends as usual. I knew a lot of the trivia answers, cause I am smart like that. Then Marty and I went home to catch up on our tv shows. There is a new show out, called "The Rookies" on A&E. And for some reason I didnt want to watch this one episode. I kept telling Marty to turn it off. Then at the end, you begin to realize that the officer was killed on duty. On July 4th 2007, Deputy Sheriff Josh Norris got engaged to his fiance. On July 5th 2007, Officer Norris lost his life when he responded to a domestic disturbance call. Read his story here. At this time, we are also awaiting the sentencing part for the killer of Game Warden Justin Hurst's trial. Justin's partner is a good friend of my family. Justin leaves behind a young son. Just reading and hearing about these stories upsets me beyond belief. I have a hard time dealing with that aspect of Marty's career and there isnt a day that goes by that I dont say a prayer for the safe return of my husband, and all of our friends who put their lives in danger everyday. But I realized that by putting Officer Norris' and Warden Hurst's stories on here and on the television, that they would get more recognition and now a nation is praying for a young officer, whose brief life ended too soon and maybe a few of you might add 2 more men to your prayer list at night.
